Sat July 20th - Open Afternoon, Teas and BBQ

Please publicise amongst your friends and of course take part and help out yourselves.

As our part of the LTA's Nature Valley Big Tennis Weekends, this coming Saturday afternoon 2-4pm  Phil is organising a range of FREE fun tennis based activities for those from outside the club who want to have a taster of the enjoyment that tennis and our club can provide. As members, we are of course welcome to join in where there are spaces, and it would be great to see as many members as possible at the club from 2pm to welcome visitors, and also perhaps to have a game with them, as well as amongst ourselves. We hope to have the bar open, and provisional timetable as follows:

2-3pm: Family Time - Get on court with your family and have some fun. We’ll provide modified balls and rackets for the younger ones and coaches will be on hand to give you some pointers if you want them.

2.30 - 3.15pm: Mini Tennis - Children between 3 and 10 years old can get stuck into the world of tennis with an exciting programme from the LTA sponsored by Highland Spring. With smaller courts, nets and rackets and lower bouncing balls, LTA Mini Tennis offers the perfect introduction to the sport, with all the fun and energy of the real thing.

3-3.30pm: Cardio Tennis - Cardio Tennis is a fun, sociable group fitness class set on a tennis court and open to people of all ages and abilities. Supported by motivating music and qualified instructors, you’ll get to hit lots of tennis balls during your class and have a great cardio workout at the same time.

2-4pm: Tennis - a chance for members and visitors to have a game or two! Watch out also for a few extra surprises!

4.30, or maybe earlier on this occasion - tea and cake served - contributions appreciated, contact Lisa or Helen

Followed for members by normal club tennis and at around 6ish, the BBQ will be lit - bring your own food please!
